In an effort to make the Garfield Night Market live up to its imagined purpose, to be operated, vended and primarily run by the Garfield Community, a program to help potential small businesses try their hand at the market, while helping them to develop their business and idea, launched in February with a small grant provided by the Seed Program at the Spout Fund of Pittsburgh.

Date Night at the Pittsburgh Glass Center

The Pittsburgh Glass Center has been a keystone anchor for Penn Avenue since it's inception as an institute here in 2001. It is one of the few non-University affiliated glass education centers in our tri-state region, the only one dedicated solely to glass, and has gained a reputation internationally as much for it's exhibition space as for it's residency program. The best part is that they make their facilities accessible to the ultra-beginner as well, with really amazing workshops that are super-fun, social, and engaging.
