Jen Liu is an artist, educator, and researcher working at the intersections of art, design, technology and culture. Working across different fields such as traditional craft, digital media and interaction design, she is interested in exploring ways of using technology to examine relationships between the body and the environment. This May exhibit is titled 'Soft Power: Smart textiles, speculation and play'. Soft Power is a collection of work that examines the relationship between tangible craft and digital media through the use of speculation, humor and play. The work includes prototypes, artworks, and artifacts developed through research, along with "Pom Pom Point Cloud" a collaborative installation that invites the visitor to contribute and question the intersections between digital data and physical materials.
