Helen Ann Lawless is a junior at Pitt majoring in Sociology. She started painting on whim in high school, and fell in love with the process of creating an image that captured how she saw the world. With the majority of her work featuring images she took during an excursion in Europe as well as scenes from a sentimental family vacation spot, her collection acts as a visual chronicle of her life. Using a style similar to impressionism and realism, Helen Ann paints in order to highlight the beauty found in daily life.
